From the Co-Chairs of the Board, Alberta 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce
Dear Members and Friends,
With gratitude and excitement, we write to you together as the newly elected Co-Chairs of the Alberta 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce. It is an honour to serve such a vibrant, resilient, and forward-thinking community built on courage, compassion, and the shared belief that prosperity and inclusion go hand in hand.
Our leadership will be grounded in passion, empathy, accountability, and action. We believe accountability is an act of care, and that every decision we make should uplift both people and purpose. Leadership, to us, is a shared mindset: one that begins with curiosity, values integrity, and seeks to create ladders for others while continuing to smash ceilings.
As we look toward 2026, we recognize the realities of the current sociopolitical climate. Across Alberta and beyond, equity, belonging, and acceptance continue to be challenged. Yet our community has never been defined or weakened by adversity: we are defined by how we rise above it. Our collective strength, creativity, and tenacity have real economic and social power. Together, we drive innovation, create jobs, and make our communities more vibrant. Our visibility in business is not only an act of pride, it is an act of impact.
The Chamber’s focus remains clear: to expand opportunities for 2SLGBTQI+ entrepreneurs and professionals across Alberta. We will strengthen our programming, amplify member voices, and build sustainable pathways for Queer-owned and allied businesses to thrive. Economic empowerment is central to our mission, because when our community succeeds, Alberta’s economy becomes stronger, more innovative, and more inclusive.
This next chapter is not just about growth, it is about Queer joy, resilience, and collective impact. We believe in this Chamber, in our members, and in the future we are creating together. Most of all, we believe in you, in each other, and in the power of community. Thank you for your trust, your energy, and your partnership as we continue to build a community where everyone belongs and prospers.
With gratitude and optimism,
