A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Annual General Meeting (AGM)! For those who couldn’t make it, we’re sorry we missed you, but we’re excited to share the key outcomes that will shape our Chamber’s exciting future.
From 2025 to 2026, and beyond!
We shared highlights from the 2025 Annual Report, as well as our Chamber 2026 Strategic Plan—outlining our exciting roadmap for the year ahead! The membership officially approved several crucial items, including an updated Board of Directors slate.
A New Chapter for Our Board: Celebrating Leadership & Evolution
This year’s AGM marked a significant moment of transition and growth for our Board of Directors.

Farewell and Thank You to Our Outgoing Board Chair, Moe Yassine
For the past five years, Moe Yassine has been the engine of our Chamber. Through countless conversations and endless long nights, his tireless efforts have shaped this organization into a vibrant community determined to build space for queer and trans entrepreneurs and professionals to thrive.
We celebrate Moe as he steps down from his role as Board Chair and into a new, historic role as our first-ever Board Chair, Emeritus. In honour of his monumental contributions, we established the Moe Yassine Queer Leadership Award to honour Moe’s legacy with the organization for years to come!
To formalize this transition and strengthen our governance, the membership approved two key bylaw amendments:
- The creation of a Chair Emeritus: A non-executive Board Director position that may only be held by a previous Board Chair of the Chamber.
- The allowance for two Co-Chairs plus a Vice-Chair: This amendment allows for five executive director positions, providing greater flexibility and eliminating the need for tie-breakers on executive votes.
