QueerTech is a national non-profit focused on advancing 2SLGBTQIA+ talent and entrepreneurship across Canada’s technology ecosystem. They work to “queer the tech ecosystem” by transforming how technologies are designed and governed, ensuring that queer lived experiences are at the center of innovation. Their mission is to break down barriers to entry and provide pathways for queer professionals to reach leadership and decision-making roles.
Their programming covers the entire career pipeline, from the QT Access workforce development program—which aims to upskill 60,000 professionals by 2034—to initiatives that empower queer founders with capital and mentorship. QueerTech also conducts original research and partners with major institutions to drive systemic change. By creating safer, connected spaces both online and in-person, they are building a more responsible and equitable future for the tech industry.
