The Edmonton 2 Spirit Society (E2S) is dedicated to re-establishing and enhancing the traditional roles of Two-Spirit people within Indigenous communities. Their work focuses on creating supportive environments that bridge the gap between Indigenous traditions and contemporary 2SLGBTQIA+ identities. E2S envisions a world where Two-Spirit people are recognized, respected, and engaged as integral members of society at large.
E2S provides a wide range of social, health, and cultural programs, including community gathering spaces and gender-affirming ceremonial settings. They facilitate knowledge exchange and mentoring to help Indigenous trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse individuals access public services and navigate their roles within their communities. Through celebrations and education, E2S remains a leading voice in fostering 2 Spirit leadership and cultural preservation.
